Asserting that President Bola Tinubu’s policies intended to restructure the country are already yielding fruit and producing results, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Atiku Bagudu has urged Nigerians to maintain optimism and faith in the government.
Speaking at a national policy summit sponsored by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (P-BAT) Academics and Professionals in Abuja under the topic “Activating the Policies and Promises in the Renewed Hope Agenda,” Bagudu, a former governor of Kebbi State, expressed optimism on behalf of Nigerians, saying that they had found a leader in Tinubu who has experience leading others and has successfully transformed Lagos via inclusive leadership.
“We have a leader who believes in inclusion and has practiced it in Lagos by creating a state that worked for everyone, carrying everyone along and allowing them to excel,” he added. “Today, there is a cry for inclusion across the country.”
The goal of P-BAT Academics and Professionals, according to its convener and national coordinator, Prof. Yemi Oke, is for academics, intellectuals, and professionals with an intellectual bent to donate their time, energy, and resources in support of President Bola Tinubu.

“Pre-Conferences” and “Mini-Summits” were held in advance of this summit, according to Oke, in accordance with the Tinubu administration’s eight-point agenda. During those mini-summits and pre-conferences, we had the chance to share some of our opinions as “Policy Advisors.”
He declared, “We are happy to report that some of the agencies and ministries of government are implementing many of our views and suggestions in those ‘Policy Advisories.'”
The group’s spokesperson, Mrs. Mary Ikoku, continued in this spirit when she stated that Nigeria “is not absolved from what is happening globally.”
She stated, “In the UK you see people who can’t even warm up their homes, they can’t warm themselves from the cold, and that is a country where you could say they don’t have a lot of poor people,” appealing for calm amid challenges brought on by the continuing economic reforms. They are not experiencing the multifaceted poverty that Nigeria is attempting to overcome.
“Other nations face difficulties. We must allow this government some time. With the help that individuals like these professionals and academics are providing, more people ought to genuinely support the nation by joining this organisation, the speaker continued.
