In the historic city of Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, Chief Ayo Adebanjo of the pan-Yoruba sociopolitical organisation Afenifere on Saturday campaigned for Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP).
The elderly man, who attended the gathering at the Ake Palace Ground in the state capital with Chief Femi Okunrounmu and other Afenifere chieftains, urged the electorate to cast their votes on election day, adding, “don’t let them cheat us”.

He warned that the Nigerians would suffer greatly if Obi doesn’t win the February 25 presidential poll to a gathering of Labour Party members present at the event.
Adebanjo said, “Ensure you vote, don’t let them cheat us. What is on the ground is not about Ayo Adebanjo. No matter what happens, I can’t be affected. I am expecting God to call me home. Enormous suffering await us if we don’t vote in Obi.”
