David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, a Nigerian singer and philanthropist, has announced the opening of a new home today.
The DMW CEO announced the latest milestone on his verified Twitter page on Thursday, January 6, according to InsightnaijaTV.
“I open my new house today!” the award-winning musician tweeted, sharing the good news with his fans. All blessings for the year 2022. Amen!” (sic)
Davido later revealed in another Instagram post that the newly opened residence is in Lagos’ Banana Island neighborhood.
Davido’s new house is expected to arrive just six days after he revealed how much money he made in 2021, InsightnaijaTV reports.
According to a post on Davido’s social media profile from earlier this month, he earned $22.3 million in 2021, which is almost N13 billion.
“Made $22.3 million in 2021,” Davido stated on his Instagram account.
Davido made the announcement just weeks after requesting that his friends donate one million Naira each to help him clear his Rolls Royce from the port.
The musician, however, surprised Nigerians when, after earning $200 million, he added another $50 million and donated it to orphanages around the country.
In honor of his 29th birthday, Davido launched an online platform for orphans to apply for the N250 million grant, in an effort to allocate the funds properly among Nigerians.
