As part of efforts to mitigate the economic impact of covid-19, the United Nations Development Programme, UNDP, in collaboration with the Federal and Lagos State Governments has launched the Unconditional Cash Transfer Project for vulnerable Communities affected by the pandemic in Lagos.
The unconditional cash transfer is an aspect of the UN’s “One Basket Fund” a Covid-19 Financing and Investment Platform for diverse stakeholders including the UN, multilaterals, bilaterals, the private sector, Foundations and philanthropic individuals, to channel their financial support to ensure an efficient, effective and impactful response to the coronavirus pandemic.
About twenty-two thousand individuals and five thousand five hundred SME’s located in Lagos have been uselected to benefit from the unconditional cash tranfer.
