South Africa, Turkey, and Brazil have been removed from the list of countries where visitors are prohibited from travelling in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Federal Government and Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19, announced the decision in Abuja on Wednesday.
He stated that the prohibition would be lifted immediately.
The deadly COVID-19 Delta strain, which took many lives, struck the three countries hardest.
The PSC decided to relax the restrictions after a marathon session on Wednesday, Mustapha added, in which the PSC examined the progress in the impacted countries.
The federal government removed Indian from the list on September 13 as a result of the country’s improved status.
