Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti has remanded a 25 year old man, Segun Ige at the correctional centre for allegedly defiling a 6 year old girl.
According to the prosecutor Mr. Caleb Leramo, an officer of the Nigerian police force said the defendant committed the offence on June 13 in Oloje-Ekiti, noting that the defendant who live in the neighborhood defile the girl when her parents were away from home.
He said the act has infringed on section 31(2) of Child’s Right Law of Ekiti State 2012 urging the Court to remand the defendant at the Correctional centre while await legal advice from the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) .

The Chief Magistrates Mr. Abdulhamid Lawal however adjourned the case till 9th July.
