The Magistrate court in Yaba, Lagos State, has granted bail to detained #EndSARS protester, Peter Eronmosele Adene, in the sum of one million naira.
After granting him bail, the court also rejected a request by the police for an order to detain him for another 30 days, to enable them conclude investigations into the allegations against the defendant.
Speaking to journalists, Eronmosele’s lawyer, Tunde Jinadu, who had approached the court to grant his client bail on medical ground confirmed he was granted bail by the court earlier today.
Before proceedings commenced, there was a disagreement between the family members and friends of Eromosele who protested police refusal to allow them enter into the courtroom, while Eromosele was made to sit in the Hilux van outside the court for over an hour.
The embattled youth was arrested on November 7 by the police, for his involvement in the #EndSARS protest and also on allegations of providing financial support to the movement.
He was however taken to Abuja, days later, quickly sparking the trend, #FreeEromz on Twitter.
