FC Bayern Munich has extended the contract with Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting by two years on Friday, June 4, 2021. He joined Bayern in October 2020 on a free transfer for one season after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain had expired.
FC Bayern struck the transfer market four times last autumn and was really lucky only once. Marc Roca, Bouna Sarr and Douglas Costa couldn’t help the Munich team – in contrast to Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.
“We are happy that Maxim will stay with us for another two years,” said sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic. “He is a very important player for us, performing strongly last season and scoring many goals. Maxim can be used in several positions, has very good technique, a lot of experience and is a goal threat. Aside from his sporting quality, Maxim is also important for our team as a person. He will help us achieve our goals in the next two years.”
