Chidinma Ojukwu has informed the Lagos State High Court that she did not murder Usifo Ataga, the CEO of Super TV.
On Tuesday 12th October 2021, the Lagos State Department of Public Prosecution charged her and Adebayo Quadri with an eight-count indictment that included murder, theft, and forgery.
However, both have entered not guilty pleas to the accusations.
On June 16, Ataga was discovered deceased in a rented residence in Lagos.
He was said to have stayed there with Chidinma, the main suspect.
InsightnaijaTV reports that Chidinma was detained as the main suspect.
Chidinma, on the other hand, had given the media contradictory information concerning Ataga’s death since her detention.
She initially admitted to killing Ataga to the press, but eventually distanced herself from the crime.
The court set a date for the trial to begin on November 9th.
