Fabrizio Romano claims that Chelsea is not in talks to sell Andrey Santos to any other team. The player, who was on loan at Vasco da Gama, has just lately returned and is generating a lot of attention.
Barcelona was one of the teams interested in signing the youngster this summer. Santos had interest from the Catalans even during the January transfer window, but Chelsea beat them to the punch and returned the player on loan to Vasco da Gama until the end of the previous campaign.

Barcelona has resumed their chase of Santos in the hopes that the young player will think about leaving Stamford Bridge for a greater sporty opportunity in Catalonia given the numerous changes Chelsea has undergone this summer.
Santos is greatly admired by the club’s new sports director Deco, and Xavi Hernandez himself had given the move his blessing. According to Lucas Pedrosa, Barcelona had even begun talks to sign the youngster this summer.
Chelsea, though, doesn’t seem to want to talk to any clubs. The 19-year-old player will be evaluated by their new coach, Mauricio Pochettino, throughout preseason. He is also seen by the club as the team’s future.
Barcelona is scrambling to replace Sergio Busquets this summer after his departure. The club may be seeking for alternatives to top target Oriol Romeu, who is expected to fetch €8 million in the market, as evidenced by Barça’s late chase of Santos.
Andrey Santos is a good fit given his age and the talent he displayed in his home Brazil. Barcelona must continue to explore at other transfer market options, though, as Chelsea would not permit a departure.
