Sen. Kashamu whose death was announced on twitter by one of his former colleague of the 8th Assembly, Senator Ben Bruce-Murray on Saturday.
According to twitter “I have just lost my good friend of forever to #COVID 19. Until his death, Sen. Buruji Kashamu and I were inseparable. He died today at First Cardiology Consultants, in Lagos. May his gentle soul rest in peace. I pray his family and loved ones the fortitude to bear this heavy loss.

It was learnt that the late Sen. Kashamu was battling with corona virus for some weeks and was admitted at the First Cardiologist Hospital, Lagos.
Sen. Kashamu until his death was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who represented the Ogun East Senatorial District from 2015-2019 in the House of Senates.
