Currently, President Muhammadu Buhari is meeting with the families of those killed in the train incident on March 28 between Abuja and Kaduna.
The meeting, as seen by InsightnaijaTV, took place in the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
On Thursday night, the Presidency announced this in a tweet sent from its verified Twitter account.
The tweet wrote, “President #MBuhari is meeting with representatives of victims of the Abuja-Kaduna Train abduction.”
InsightnaijaTV reports that the terrorists have been releasing the victims in waves, with the most recent release taking place on Wednesday.
Seven more hostages, including a family of six and a lady, were freed by the terrorists.
The six members of the family are Abubakar Garba, his wife Maryam, their son Ibrahim, 10, their daughter Fatima, 7, their son Imran, 5, and their one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Zainab.
The son of a former military administrator in the states of Kano and Benue, Garba is a staff member of the National Assembly Service Commission.
Aisha Hassan, a 60-year-old lady, was also released by the terrorists because of recent deterioration in her life-threatening medical conditions.
