President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in Kaduna for a two-day state visit. On Wednesday night, he flew from Banjul, Gambia, to his home state.
Governor Nasir El-Rufai, Deputy Governor Hadiza Balarabe, and other officials greeted him at the airport.
While in Kaduna, Buhari will launch road projects and other state-run facilities, including the Dangote Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited.
Buhari’s trip would take him to Zaria, Kafanchan, and Kaduna, where projects have been scheduled for commissioning.
The significant projects, according to Muyiwa Adekeye, special adviser on media to Governor El-Rufai, include the remodeled Murtala Muhammed Square and the Infectious Disease Hospital, both in Kaduna.
In Zaria, there is also the Sabon Gari market.
There were additional 19 road projects in Kaduna, Zaria, and Kafanchan.
The most well-known is the Kawo flyover, which features three grand rotaries and access roads.
