President Muhammadu Buhari met with Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, his immediate predecessor in office, at his office at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday.
At around 4 p.m., the former president entered the building.
He did not talk to the media thereafter, therefore the reason for his visit is unknown.
Jonathan, on the other hand, had been serving as the ECOWAS special envoy to Mali, a post that has put him in closer contact with President Buhari in recent months.
In other news, President Muhammadu Buhari has promised that the government will recover any funds stolen from the Niger Delta Development Commission, or NDDC, and that the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
The President also stated that the Commission’s recently completed forensic audit is being reviewed with the goal of retrieving every kobo that can be recovered.
