President Muhammadu Buhari is back in the country from London, the United Kingdom.
The President landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Thursday evening.
InsightnaijaTV reported that Buhari had travelled to London on March 30 for a “routine medical check-up,” according to presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina.
Buhari has been criticised for his medical trips abroad despite the huge amount allocated to the Aso Rock clinic annually.
The Presidential Jet touched ground at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja around 4:45pm.
His airport welcome party included the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari; Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Muhammed Bello; and the National Security Adviser, Retired Maj.-Gen. Babagana Monguno.
Others were the Acting Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba; the Director-General, National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Rufa’I; the Director General of the Department of State Services, Yusuf Bichi and other presidential aides.
After a snappy welcoming ceremony at the airport, Buhari made for a helicopter that took him to the Presidential Villa.
