David Umahi, the troubled governor of Ebonyi State, met with Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Friday.
According to InsightnaijaTV, the ruling party’s chieftains convened in Abuja.
Francis Nwaze, Special Assistant to the Governor of Ebonyi State, confirmed this.
However, while posting images from the meeting in a Facebook post, he did not give any details about the meeting.
“Presidential hopeful and Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Umahi, FNSE, FNATE meets Alh. Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Abuja on Friday, March 11, 2022,” he wrote.
Tinubu and Umahi are two APC members who have stated their desire to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.
Umahi is also fighting to save his governorship after an Abuja High Court ordered his dismissal and replacement.
