Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Ighoho, a Yoruba Nation activist, has been released by the Government of the Republic of Benin.
Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, the umbrella body of Yoruba Self-determination Groups, announced this in a statement on Monday.
After being arrested on July 19, 2021, the Yoruba Nation agitator has spent over 231 days in Benin Republic prison.

The Umbrella Body of Yoruba Self-determination Groups, Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, confirmed Igboho’s release in a brief statement on Monday.
Maxwell Adeleye, the Communications Secretary of Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, explained that Igboho was released to Professor Banji Akintoye and Professor Wale Adeniran, a French Language Expert/Deputy Alana of Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide.
