Kayode Fayemi, the governor of Ekiti State, withdrew from the APC presidential primary on Tuesday night and endorsed Bola Tinubu, the former governor of Lagos State.
“Stepping down” for the former Lagos State governor, according to Fayemi, was not a favour but a duty.
Apart from urging delegates from his state to vote for Tinubu, Fayemi also stated that if Tinubu wins the primary election, he has promised to assist him in winning the president.
Rt. Hon. Dimeji Bankole, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, has also dropped out of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary to support Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He urged all delegates to support Tinubu.
In agreement with APC Northern Governors for power to go to the South, Jigawa State Governor Badaru said they are taught to be fair and just. He also dropped out of the race to make way for Tinubu.
