A Divisional Police Officer, or DPO, in Kaduna State has been kidnapped by bandits who are causing havoc there.
Along the Kaduna-Birnin Gwari route, the DPO, whose base is in Birnin Gwari, was kidnapped early on Monday.

The DPO, who had only recently been assigned to the region, was purportedly being kidnapped as he traveled to Birnin Gwari to report for duty.
