The Benue state police command has detained two alleged professional kidnappers who target women in Benue state.
When the suspects were paraded in Makurdi by the police commissioner, Wale Abass, he revealed that they were experts in kidnapping women, raping them, and demanding ransom.
When one of their working handsets fell and cops found them in their hiding place in Makurdi’s NEPA quarters, CP Abbas claimed that their luck had run out.
The CP added that the suspects had already admitted guilt.
He claimed that one of the suspects, Lorver Solomon, acknowledged to merely taking N1m, N1.5m, and N500,000 from their three victims and claimed that he turned to kidnapping since he had no other source of income.
The police commissioner also revealed that the Benue State government proceeded right away to their hiding place and destroyed the structure that housed their victims’ detention facilities in accordance with the law on abduction.
