The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed has said his administration spends over 15 million naira weekly of cushioning corona virus in the State.
The Governor who disclosed this at the inauguration of the state’s molecular test centre at the Bauchi State Specialist Hospital.
Mohammed explained that the money is spent on the welfarism of healthcare workers’, allowance, contact tracing, case management, logistics. Adding that the newly inaugurated lab centre was created in partnership with the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, and North East Development Commission, NEDC.
Also speaking at the event, the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Maigoro said the State has tested 3,459 samples with 500 positive cases and 439 discharge and reunited with their loved ones, 49 cases are been managed.
