At the end of the current season Barcelona is reportedly interested in signing 18-year-old Athletico Paranaense attacker Vitor Roque.
The Catalan giants, however, won’t be able to pay the €45 million asking price to recruit Vitor Roque in the summer transfer window, according to a Beteve report. In order to transfer to Europe in 2024, they are hoping that the Brazilian attacker will stay at Athletico Paranaense for one more season.
Barcelona is experiencing financial difficulties and will be unable to spend significant sums of money on players due to financial fair play rules. They will, however, be able to afford him the following summer. The brilliant young forward’s willingness to wait for Barcelona to offer him another contract will be interesting to observe.
He has had a lot of interest from European teams, including Arsenal. In South America, Vitor Roque is well-regarded, and he has a bright future. The gifted forward might turn out to be a valuable long-term addition to Barcelona’s assault.

The Blaugrana must add more attacking depth this summer because they have become increasingly reliant on Robert Lewandowski for goals. Additionally, they have been linked to a bid for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, a striker for Chelsea.
Barcelona enjoyed a strong domestic campaign and this year’s league championship. They disappointed quite a bit in the European competitions, though. Next year, the Blaugrana will aim to contend for the Champions League championship. In order for that to happen, they must sign players of higher calibre.
Vitor Roque will be expecting to advance to the next stage of his development in the meanwhile. And the chance to join a prestigious club this summer might prove to be challenging. There may be other suitors willing to provide him a way out if Barcelona are unable to pay his €45 million asking price.
There is no doubt that the South American kid will find the chance to relocate to Barcelona to be an enticing prospect. However, he might also be drawn to the thought of playing for other European powerhouses like Arsenal.
Although the 17-year-old is a natural centre forward, he is also capable of playing on either flank. Any club he joins will benefit from his versatility. The Brazilian forward is a phenomenally gifted young player who is anticipated to quickly become a player of the highest calibre.
