The Chairman of Ayobo Ipaja Local Council Development Area, Hon. Yusuf Sakiru Adisa has disbursed funds to over 240 residents in the area.
Adisa stated this in a statement through the Head, Public Affairs Unit of the Council, Toluwalase Adewale noting that the essence of the disbursement was to cushion the effect of COVID-19 pandemic on businesses and families as well as alleviate suffering in the area.
Highlighting some of his achievement, Hon. Adisa said that the Council since the outbreak of Corona Virus has embark on public awareness on COVID-19 in the area, fumigation of public places, provision of stimulus packages, distribution of face mask and sanitizers, organization of free health treatment and testing across the six primary health centres and many other.
The Council boss urge residents to support the Government in winning the fight against the pandemic and appeal to resident to avoid public gathering, ensure regular hand washing and use of face mask in places of close contact.
He explained that 40 of the beneficiaries received the sum of Fifty Thousand Naira each, while other beneficiaries were given lesser amount.
The event was however witnessed by the Chairman of All Progressive Congress in Ayobo Ipaja, Mr Dele Ojo, his vice Mrs. Bola Sobowale, Secretary to the Council Mr. Abiodun Agbaje, the Council Manager Mrs. Adeyemi Mercy and many other dignitaries.
