The Ayangbure of Ikorodu, Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi has instituted a free interest loan to support traders and artisans in Ikorodu Division of Lagos State.
The gesture was to commemorate the first Class Monarch five Years on the throne and to support small businesses that had been affected by Coronavirus pandemic.
In a message at his Palace, the Ayangbure of Ikorodu, Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi stated that a huge sum has been deposited with one of the commercial banks in Ikorodu to sustain the free interest loan scheme for easy administration.
The Monarch noted that God deserved to be praised for the peace and tremendous development that Ikorodu Division had witnessed during his reign.
Oba Shotobi also used the occasion to appeal to religious leadership and the general public to obey the directive of the State Government and the World Health Organization to flattened the curves of Covid-19 for safety of all.
Beneficiaries of the Oba Shotobi free interest loan were full of joy and gratitude to their benefactor as they received cheques from the monarch.
About 140 traders who were selected by an independent Committee received twenty five thousand naira each to kick off the revolving loan initiated by the Ayangbure of Ikorodu.
