The National Leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday June 26, 2020 describe the news in an online platform claiming Asiwaju spent N35 billion on the election of President Muhammadu Buhari as erroneous and unsubstantiated.
Asiwaju in a statement by his media aid, Tunde Rahman describe the claim as libelous, noting that the National leader of APC has no constituted authority of making President Buhari the winner of 2015 and 2019 rather than the votes by the generality of the Nigerian electorate.
Stressing that the former Governor of Lagos State remain steadfast in his support for President Muhammadu Buhari led administration as well as his policies.
Adding that Asiwaju has no regret supporting president Muhammad Buhari. He expanciated that the recent happening in the party has no connection with the Governor Akinwunmi Ambode Governorship race in 2019. He also describe the allegations as baseless, noting that party leaders and Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu are moving fine for the betterment of Lagos State.
