Asari Dokubo, a former leader of the Niger Delta insurgency, has stated that he would rather “be with” President Muhammadu Buhari than continue to support the Biafran cause due to what he calls the “carnage and enormous genocide being committed across Igboland by Nnamdi Kanu‘s hirelings.”
Dokubo said he “chased” the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a proscribed organisation founded by Kanu, away from Rivers, his state, during a Facebook Live on Thursday.
Asari Dokubo said, “I would rather be with Buhari than Biafra.”
Let it be known that I would rather be with Buhari today than with the Biafra responsible for this bloodshed and the enormous genocide being carried out by Nnamdi Kanu’s hired guns throughout Igboland, Dokubo stated.
“I pursued them out after stopping them in Rivers State. They are being chased away now that I have followed them to their hiding places.
According to this newspaper, Dokubo has often stated his support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the party of Buhari’s, the All Progressives Congress, who is running for president (APC).
