With just 14 days to the Governorship primary election of the All Progressives Congress, in Edo State, party members have continued to throw stones at one another. Former Edo State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General, Henry Idahagbon says the party will lose the Governorship election, if Governor Godwin Obasaki is imposed on the people.
Speaking in a chat with Insightnaijatv, Idahagbon describes Obaseki as an authoritarian, who does not deserve another tenure. He promises to retire from active politics, if Obaseki gets up to 1,000 votes in the June 22 primary election.
In a swift reaction, the APC Chairman in Edo State, Anselem Ojezue says the comments by Idahagbon are
his usual blackmail. Ojezue maintained that Obasaki remains the best candidate.
In the meantime, PDP Chairman, in Edo State, Dan Obih says the party is taking over from the APC because of its failure to fulfill its campaign promises.
