The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed says that there will be no congress in Kwara State until all members of the party are fully registered.
Alhaji Lai Mohammed who made this known while speaking during the inauguration of the new APC Secretariat in Ilorin described as baseless and mischievous allegations going round in the state that he diverted funds meant for the 2019 general elections.
He said that he personally went to APC supporters in different parts of the country for financial assistance which was used for logistics during the bye election that produced Raheem Ajulo and did same during the general elections.
Alhaji Lai Mohammed expressed disappointment with the campaign of calumny being embarked upon by the state government against all those that worked round the clock to deliver one hundred percent victory in the state.
The Minister who challenged anyone with proof that he mismanaged campaign funds recalled how he distributed vehicles and motorcycles.
Earlier, the State APC Chairman, Alhaji Bashir Bolarinwa appealed to party loyalists not to be disturbed by the non inclusive attitude of the Kwara State Government as better days are ahead.
Alhaji Bolarinwa while recalling the roles played by Alhaji Lai Mohammed during the bye election and general elections emphasized that the feats recorded are dedicated to God, Kwarans and Alhaji Lai Mohammed.
There were goodwill messages from a member of the House of Representatives, Abdulganiyu Olododo, Professor Oba Abdulraheem, Alhaji Taju Makama, Prince Saheed Popoola, Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo, Dr Rex Olawoye and host of others.
Highlight of the event was inauguration of the new APC Secretariat along GRA Ilorin which was filled to capacity by party supporters from the Sixteen Local Government Areas of Kwara State.
