The All Progressives Congress, APC, Party in Lagos has officially commenced campaign for Local Council election in the State by handing over the party flag to aspirants.
Polling for Chairman, Vice Chairman and Councillors in all the twenty Council Areas and thirty seven Local Council Development Areas as well as the three hundred and seventy seven wards in Lagos is schedule to hold On Saturday July 24
Presenting the flags to the party candidates at the APC Secretariat, Acme Ogba, Ikeja, Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu, implored them to leverage on the success of the party at the National and State levels.
Earlier, in an address, the APC Chairman in Lagos, Mr Tunde Balogun, enjoined them to campaign in a progressive manner, to ensure all round victory for the Party.
The Party Chairman warned the Candidates not to change the list of party approved Councillorship candidates .
The aspirants were handed the flags in threes, with the party chairman in the Council areas supporting them.
The event which was held amidst strict compliance with covid-19 protocols had in attendance the Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, Speaker, Lagos House of Assembly, Chief Mudashiru Obasa, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Tayo Ayinde, , and members of the Governor’s Advisory Council and key party faithfuls.
