Boboye Oyeyemi, the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, has appealed for cooperation with the police as he approves the deployment of 1,500 FRSC soldiers for the All Progressives Congress national convention on March 26.
The operatives were entrusted by Oyeyemi with maintaining a free flow of traffic to and from the APC national convention location.
According to Bisi Kazeem, the FRSC Public Education Officer, the operatives drafted for the national convention were also tasked with clearing obstructions from the roadways, performing rescue operations in the event of an emergency, and maintaining order outside the roped zones.
During the convention, Oyeyemi also authorized the Deputy Corps Marshal in charge of operations to deploy 35 vehicles, bikes, and ambulances to beef up enforcement.
He instructed the deployed people to show the utmost professionalism and resourcefulness while avoiding temptations that could lead to human rights violations.
