Tyson Fury gave Anthony Joshua a shot at the WBC world title just as he was searching for a quick return following his third career defeat against Oleksandr Usyk. ‘AJ’ has accepted the challenge and will make his debut in December.
However, ‘AJ’ appears to be more interested in staging the bout than in engaging in a social media spat with ‘The Gypsy King.’ Following Tyson Fury’s repeated tweets, Joshua resorted to social media and provided a direct response.
Fury stated, “Anthony Joshua, I know you just lost a fight to Usyk and you’re currently bout-less, and I’d want to give you an opportunity to fight me for the WBC heavyweight world championship and the lineal championship in the coming months.”
Joshua said that if Fury kept his word, he would be ready to fight.
I don’t participate in internet debates for the sake of gaining clout.
So, if you’re serious, tweet @258mgt (Joshua’s management business). I’ll be ready in December, Joshua said on Instagram.
