Everton’s victory over Fleetwood Town in the Carabao Cup earned Alex Iwobi the honour of being named Man of the Match.
Demarai Gray’s game-winning assist came from Iwobi as Everton triumphed 1-0.
It was Eveton’s first victory this season in four games across all competitions.
Iwobi was named the best player for Everton on the team’s Twitter account.
The Super Eagles playmaker also won two tackles, one aerial duel, and eight (8) recoveries during a stellar performance at Highbury Stadium.
The League One team had Everton to work hard for their victory in the tightly contested game.
Although Fleetwood entered the game unbeaten in their previous five games, they have struggled to score goals recently, scoring just one goal in their last two games.
Both teams had a lack of cutting edge during the game, but Everton emerged victorious thanks to a brilliant first-half play featuring Nigerian star Iwobi and Gray.
