Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for president, and Senator Kashim Shettima, his running partner, have arrived in London, United Kingdom.
Before the election campaigning began on September 28th, Tinubu and Shettima left the nation on Saturday.
The Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council’s spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed the duo’s travel to London in a conversation with The Punch.

In order to prepare for campaigns, Tinubu and his running mate will leave the nation for a week, according to Onanuga, who also revealed that they will return in the first week of October. Additionally, he stated that Tinubu’s campaign would get underway on October 8 and that his policy package would be ready and made public by October 2, 2022.
“He merely took a week off for vacation,” he added.
However, he said that the council will begin the campaigns with a particular prayer in each APC branch across the country.
“Although the campaign will flag off on October 8, we will kick off the stipulated September 28 date with a prayer in all the APC branches nationwide.
“After committing the day to God, we will embark on road work in Abuja. However, I am sure the policy document will be ready before October 2.”
