After Wednesday’s visit, All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu delivered a thank-you card to former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
In his brief speech on Wednesday night, Tinubu also thanked the whole Ogun State populace for their cordial greeting as well as Governor Dapo Abiodun.
In a meeting on Wednesday, Tinubu and Obasanjo discussed preparations for the 2023 presidential election at the former president’s home in Abeokuta.
About one o’clock in the afternoon, the former governor of Lagos State’s helicopter touched down at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.
On-site Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun welcomed Tinubu, together with his deputy Noimot Salako-Oyedele, former Governors Olusegun Osoba and Gbenga Daniel, and their leader.
Tinubu entered the meeting with Obasanjo behind closed doors right away.
The previous chairman of the APC, Bisi Akande, Nuhu Ribadu, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, were also present at the meeting.
After the visit, Tinubu posted a thank-you message and images from the encounter on his Twitter page.
