The notion that Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the group’s head, supported Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress, APC’s presidential candidate, has been debunked by Sola Ebiseni, the secretary general of the Yoruba Socio-Cultural organisation Afenifere.
Ebiseni said this morning during a question-and-answer session for the Arise TV show that it was merely a blessing rather than an endorsement.
According to Ebiseni, the gathering they conducted, which allegedly resulted in Tinubu’s support, was not an Afenifere gathering.
The meeting they convened was not an Afenifere gathering, as I already informed you. The Conscience of Yoruba Nation Whatsapp group published the meeting announcement on behalf of the event.

He said, “You see, they gathered those who exhibited political leaning around this period in the WhatsApp group, and my brother claims he is the director general.”
They announced that they would be holding a meeting in honour of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidency, and that Pa Fasoranti had consented to host and preside over it. The meeting would only last for two hours, from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m.
