Nigeria, which once served as the world’s sleeping giant, is now prepared to occupy its proper position in the international arena, according to Vice President Kashim Shettima, who also claimed that President Bola Tinubu was committed to propel the country to a higher platform.
The vice president announced that the present administration was working with several institutions to advance a digital economic process on Tuesday at the 16th Annual Banking and Finance Conference held in Abuja. He said that certain institutions were already collaborating with the government to provide our young men with the digital skills they need to succeed in the global digital marketplace.
“Nigeria, the sleeping giant of Africa, has woke up from its slumber,” Senator Shettima said on Tuesday at the 16th Annual Banking and Finance Conference holding in Abuja.
“This is a great nation on chains.

“Let’s walk the talk. We are open for business. Nigeria is the destination of choice for any savvy investors,” he said, while encouraging the bankers’ committee to utilise emerging and distracting technologies to harness Nigeria’s economic opportunities.
“We must prioritise financial inclusion and equal opportunity for everyone,” he added.
The Vice President urged the conference attendees to join in on the effort to create a country for everyone while emphasising that the forum was not a place for name-calling and instead served as a refuge for creativity and the development of a stronger economy.
The Tinubu-led administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, he told the participants, cannot be properly carried out without their help. He added, “We seek your partnership in getting this done.” He claimed that as depressive as Nigeria’s challenges were, they are also pregnant with opportunities.
