Dr. Musa Ali Pepper, a PDP chieftain in Kaduna State’s Kubau Local Government Area, claims that the federal government is not caring about the plight of the remaining 51 Kaduna-Abuja Kidnapping victims.
Remember that in March 2022, bandits abducted 63 passengers from a Kaduna-Abuja train after killing eight and injuring sixteen.
Some of the kidnapped people were later released by the bandits at various times.
However, 11 more victims were recently freed as a result of discussions between the federal government and militants, leaving 51 more held captive.
Asserting that some of the victims had been bitten by snakes and other reptiles, the bandits had recently expressed concern for the victims’ safety.
They urged the federal government to adhere to all contracts in order to guarantee the victims’ release.
However, Dr. Ali Pepper argued that if the victim suffers any harm, the federal government should be held accountable.
He alleged that the federal government was oblivious to the plight of Nigerians and questioned how people could live in the jungle for 90 days while remaining silent.
The federal government, he said, must take action quickly or risk being held accountable if anything bad occurs to the victims.
