The administration of Abia State University (ABSU) Uturu has prohibited students from bringing personal vehicles onto campus.
The move was motivated by a “flagrant display of riches” by some students on campus, according to the school.
The move comes barely a week after some ex-students of the college were seen showering money on some pupils who had recently taken their final examinations and were suspected of being internet scammers.
In a statement signed by the registrar, Dr. Acho Elendu, on Tuesday, the administration cautioned the students that failure to follow the directive will result in serious disciplinary action.
