Godfrey, Rev. Fr. Mark Chimezie, a priest at St Theresa Catholic Church in Umuahia, Abia State, has been abducted by unidentified gunmen.
On Wednesday, he was abducted along Enyiukwu Road, Ohokobe Afaraukwu community, Ibeku, Umuahia North LGA, Abia State.
After finishing the morning mass at St Gabriel, Okpururie, Afaraukwu, Rev Fr Chemezie was allegedly apprehended.

He was allegedly pulled out of his Toyota Corolla automobile and onto a jeep.
Chimezie, who was born in the state of Enugu, was ordained as a priest in the year 2021.
