The just elected Ekiti State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Working Committee Chairman, Mr. Bisi Kolawole said the party is working to rescue the people of Ekiti from a clueless Government.
The newly executive members of the party, held a proceeding on Monday, August 31, 2020 at the party’s Secretariat in Ajilosun, after a rousing celebration by the party faithfuls.
Speaking during the inspection of offices in the Secretariat, Mr. Kolawole commended members of the party for their support and believe in the restoration of the party’s glory.
Kolawole noted that the newly elected team will work for the progress of the party and in the interest of its members.
The chairman also called on Ekiti people to disregard insinuations that rift exist in Ekiti PDP, the Chairman added that the party in Ekiti remained united.
“There will always be disagreements and reconciliations as far as party issues are concerned. But by the grace of God, we will reconcile the reconcile-ables, we’ll call our members who strayed, we’ll come together, revisit issues and fashion a way forward,” Kolawole said.
“We have been in Government and we are aware of the happenings, in Ekiti today, there is dormancy, the ruling party is lethargy and lackadaisical, even members of their party are not happy with their Government talkless of the opposition.
“We have a very solid publicity setting, this is not a set of people that will compromise, we didn’t have a voice in the last exco because they compromised, we had to push them to talk, they talked reluctantly, we are here to speak in defence of the downtrodden Ekiti people and trust me, our State will be better for it,” Kolawole said.
