The two-weeks virtual Online skill acquisition and training for members of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Lagos State Chapter has ended.
The training which is the first of its kind, is aimed at cushioning the effect of the Covid-19 Pandemic on members of the Association across the State.
The training featured different categories of trainings such as: Tying of Gele, Make-up, production of hair fascinator, turban making, nose masks, hair piece, hair bonnet and beads making.
The Chairperson of NAWOJ, Comrade Adeola Ekine who noted that it was important for women to engage in empowerment programmes such as this, advised participants to leverage on such opportunities for personal development.
Comrade Ekine urged members of the Association to prepare for phase two of the skills acquisition programme which is starting soon to accommodate those who missed the first one.
Over One hundred female Journalists benefited from the two weeks virtual trainings which commenced on the 13th to 25th of this month.
