The National Leader of All Progressive Congress Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has described the death of former Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi as a great loss of an outstanding statesman in the party and Nigeria as a whole.
Asiwaju Tinubu in a statement noted that the All Progressive Congress and the entire Yoruba race has lost one of its leading light.
He describe the late Ajimobi as an excellent, energetic and most productive Governor Oyo State ever had. Adding that Senator Ajimobi will forever be remembered for his contribution towards the development of Oyo State and the numerous infrastructural and public work projects initiated by him for the betterment of the State.
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu added that the late Governor broke the political jinx by serving as a two-time Governor of the State noting that his Legacy as a Governor will forever be remembered.
The National leader however commiserate with the immediate family of the deceased, his wife Mrs Florence Ajimobi, children and the entire people of Oyo State for the great loss.
He also pray that Allah shower his mercy upon him and reward his good deeds by admitting him to Aljannah firdaus.
Also, the Governor of Ekiti State Dr. Kayode Fayemi commiserated with the family of the immediate past Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
Dr. Fayemi in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode, describe the death of Senator Ajimobi as a huge loss to the entire people of Oyo State, Nigeria and members of All Progressive Congress (APC).
Ekiti State Governor Fayemi describe late Ajimobi as an accomplished politician and administrator among his peers, noting that his memories will continue to live among his friends, family, associate, and people he had led.
Dr. Fayemi however prayed for the family, Government and people of Oyo State that almighty God gives them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and grant his soul eternal rest.
