P resident Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana on Tuesday June 23, 2020 spoke with the Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari to express his sincere apology for the demolition of a building on the premises of Nigerian High Commission in Accra, Ghana.
This was disclosed by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity Garba Shehu noting that the apology was tendered through a telephone call assuring the President that he has directed Full investigation into the incident.
He added that some suspects had been arrested and will be arraigned in court.
Earlier the Speaker of the House of Representative condemned the attack on the house in the premises of the Nigerian High Commission noting that the diplomatic right and privilege of Nigeria is trampled on.
He therefore called on Nigeria to take appropriate retaliatory measures against Ghana.
