The Lagos State Government has announced the death of the wife of a former Inspector General of Police and current, Chairman, Nigeria police Service Commission, Alhaji Musiliu Smith, Alhaja Ariat Smith, who passed away yesterday at the age of 69years.
The statement issued by Government, on behalf of the family says that the remains of late Alhaja Ariat Smith will be buried today in accordance with Islamic rites.
The statement added that only immediate family members will be allowed at the burial rites, in tandem with the social distancing advisory of Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC and the Lagos State government guidelines on COVID- 19 prevention.
