In a 24-hour period between Monday, July 15, and Tuesday, July 16, 2024, Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas appointed 1,270 aides.
In a press release issued by the Secretary to the State Government Gebon Kataps, the state government announced the release of 573 names on Monday and 502 names on Tuesday night. The appointees will hold positions as special advisers, senior special assistants, special assistants, constituency special assistants, or members of boards, commissions, and agencies of the Taraba State government.

The number adds to the 195 previously approved by the state administration. The appointees have yet to be allocated portfolios.
The appointment is in addition to the five others that were assigned to positions in his cabinet upon his assumption of office.
The final wave of appointees is anticipated, since the state administration has said that the appointment will take place in four phases.
