The documents used to ask for the payment of $6.2 million for international election observers were falsified a forensic analyst informed a federal capital territory (FCT) high court in Maitama.
The forensic analyst, Bamaiyi Meriga, made this statement on Thursday while testifying as a witness in the trial of Godwin Emefiele, the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), who is being tried on a 20-count amended criminal charge that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has filed against him.

The revised accusations centre on allegations of procurement fraud, forgery, conspiracy to conduct forgery, breach of trust, and conspiracy to commit a felony.
