A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Mike Ozekhome, has issued a warning that the naira may appreciate to N4,000 against the US dollar by the end of 2024 due to the current economic difficulties.
Speaking on Channels TV’s Politics Today, Ozekhome said that there was no evidence to suggest that the value of the naira relative to the dollar will increase.

“If we are not careful, before the end of this year, the Naira may exchange for N4000 to the dollar because there is nothing in place,” he stated.

”If we are not careful we will get to the situation in Ghana, where they were carrying cedis in baskets to the market to go and buy things and put in their pockets.
