According to reports, the Federal Government is looking into the cancellation of up to 264 Nigerian passengers’ visas on an Air Peace flight when they arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from Nigeria.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it was “investigating the matter to see if any consular or aviation rules have been flouted” in a statement made available to pressmen on Tuesday. The statement was signed by Alkasim Abdulkadir, the Special Adviser on Media and Communications Strategy to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar.

According to Abdulkadir, the ministry would make sure that future actions that have an influence on the welfare of Nigerian citizens are mitigated in accordance with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s “Four Ds” approach.
“Nigeria recently took part in the Saudi-Africa Summit, wherein bilateral discussions encompassing multiple economic sectors were held, and commitments that would be mutually advantageous were established.”
