Numerous people took to the streets to protest the teenager’s death in major cities around the nation as a result of the incident, but on Saturday, the police said that about 1,000 protesters had been detained as the turmoil entered its fourth day.
Charly Boy expressed his thoughts on the situation in an Instagram post, urging Nigerian youths to “reject a system that has let them down” by taking inspiration from the demonstration.
“This is not Afghanistan, Syria, or Iraq. In France, where only 9% of the population has brought down entire cities! Karma from Africa? he posed in a brief message that accompanied a video purportedly from the France protest.
“Am (I am) waiting on the exceptional Nigerian youths to reject a system that let dem down. Una destiny dey una hand.”
