Bola Tinubu, the incoming president of Nigeria, has been included in Time Magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people for 2023.
The 2023 list, which was published on Thursday, classified people into pioneers, leaders, titans, artists, innovators, and icons. Time Magazine’s annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world honours individuals for altering the world, regardless of the consequences of their acts.

According to the report, Tinubu is “a longtime political power broker” who is aware of his legacy, which includes “a litany of crises in a fractured nation, including deep-rooted corruption, religious insurgencies, and shortages of cash, fuel, and power in a crumbling economy.” Tinubu would be sworn in on May 29, 2023.
The list of international leaders included Tinubu, the winner of Nigeria’s presidential election on February 25, alongside Joe Biden, the president of the United States, and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the president of Brazil. It also included Olena Zelenska, the first lady of Ukraine.
